Dr Henry Hicks (1837-99) – The Life and Times of Dr Henry Hicks of St Davids, and the Bubble That Refused to Burst

Daeareg oedd cariad mawr y meddyg Henry Hicks o Dyddewi. Roedd yn awdur llu o erthyglau yn y maes a chyfrannoedd yn helaeth i astudiaethau daearegol yn yr 19eg ganrif. Er na dderbyniodd hyfforddiant ffurfiol yn y maes, cafodd ei ethol yn llywydd Cymdeithas y Daearegwyr a'r Gymdeithas Ddaearegol.
Geology was St David's doctor Henry Hicks' huge passion. Author of many articles, he made a major contribution to 19th century geological study and, despite having no formal training in the subject, was eventually elected president of both the Geologists' Association and the Geological Society.
